This is a rack designed to cook bacon on in the microwave, so you would put the bacon on the little racks and then the grease drips down into the pan area.

I'm curious about how well the baconator has survived the microwave use. Does it deform over time? What plastic has been tried?

I would recommend making double sure the plastic you use to print that is suitable to cook in a microwave. Health hazard !

See http://blog.thingiverse.com/2009/09/13/for-foodies-out-there/http://blog.thingiverse.com/20... for a starter investigation.
