Tried that ages ago (nowadays I got myself a heavy CNC router) with the heavy RepMan and the Dremel flex shaft in a tool holder that would grip it along ALL it's length in the very heavy circular 3-bolt tool mounts of the RepMan 3.x .
Be carefull about flex in the tool holder. It has to stay in place by as little as 0.1 (good ones 0.01, real good ones 0.001mm) while strong forces are applied laterally.
Can you set the current coordinates as 0,0,0 in your firmware?
Can you start milling without homing (and thus potentially running right through your blank) first?
What materials do you intent to work with?
