I really like this. have about a dozen of the chessex boxes, and this is a very cool mod to do with them. Easy to paint but impressive at the gaming table (everybody wants one but only I can have it HAHAHAHA).

I would like some other "feels" to it, like a sci fi base.

I absolutely love this design. I was super bummed when I found out (after printing) that it doesn't fit the 12mm d6 Chessex box we have. I suppose this is meant to fit the RPG set or the 16mm Chessex set instead. Still, this is a fantastic design that prints wonderfully. Thanks!

Ever consider doing a version scaled for the wider, squatter d6-block Chessex sets? (I could probably just try to use scaling, but I bet the fit wouldn't work so well; the gap the clear plastic fits into wouldn't be the right thickness.)

That looks a lot better. I will run a test print tonight and see how it comes out

Thanks for the feedback, everybody. Check out the new version, I think I fixed all the wonky geometry.

Thanks for the feedback, everybody. Take a look at the latest version, I think I've fixed any wonky geometry that crept in there.

I've discovered the problem - using Makerware or Slic3r, all the manifoldness issues cause a huge drama with printing. Also as to what ="thingiverse-a1b7f6c7d739aa48d5dfaacf54df3994:disqus" href="http://disqus.com/thingiverse-a1b7f6c7d739aa48d5dfaacf54df3994/OSTycoon said - the geometry under the centre stones is missing and causing issues..

Has anyone had problems printing these on Replicator 2 in PLA? Using makerware, it decides to seal it up as a box rather than an actual plinth - printed on 0.2mm layers

Is it just me, or does this not generate well for some people

What are you slicing with? ReplicatorG 037 seems to do OK with Skeinforge.

Skeinforge on RepG 0037, however, it's skeinforge 35. I'm using a cupcake.

Edit: when I look at the part in rep g, and in the Thing viewer on thingiverse, it shows that the geometry below the cracked center stones is missing.

This is for Chessex boxes?

Do different companies have different sizes?

No idea on other companies. This fit the Chessex boxes that I have.

Man, that is beyond cool! I need to print one of these. You have a really impressive (and utilitarian) collection of stuff here!

When a Seej player knocks an opposing players dice off the plinth does the "roll" count for anything? :)
