Ikea Komplement Large Box Wheel
Description
A wheel designed to slot into the slots on the bottom of IKEA's Komplement large plastic store box.
Instructions
I designed this as an experiment.
Print with the axle vertical so all bearing surfaces are running 'along' the filament (not across steps).
The .Scad file has lots of parametrics the all important taper angle can be changed and things will mostly follow.
THe angles are all designed to hopefully self support...I printed the photo item in ABS, the angles are 40 degrees from flat, which is ok except for where the holes or small features are. I intend to eliminate the wheel holes and just sparse fill. If that isnt solid enough in the axles where the most load is, I will re-instate the central void and solid fill the rest.
( I printed a ultimaker fan duct which has large 30 degree from horizontal faces...which worked beautifully in PLA ( thingiverse.com/thing:17768 ) )
