Description

The D-Track is a versatile, printable robot designed for both teleoperation and autonomous behaviour. Its unique design, inspired by the 4-Track by Jon Goitia [1], preserves all the advantages of wheel and track-based motion while overcoming some of its disadvantages: the articulated tracks allow the robot to handle difficult surfaces and overcome obstacles that would limit the motion of simpler wheeled vehicles.

I love this design, it's got great potential as a versatile robot! I've been looking for a new project that I can possibly integrate my Raspberry Pi into as well. Great to see you've released not only the stl's but the original scad's as well, which will really help in community development! Can't wait to see the assembly instructions and electronics details! Any idea on time frame for release?

Very nice bot :D Based on the BOM, I estimate this would cost about 175-200$, but you have actually bought these parts, can you tell me if that's about right?
Don't know if I'll find the time to build this myself anytime soon, though ;)

A bit more once you take into account aditional electronics (Arduino, accelerometer, battery, voltage regulators...), but yeah, that's a good estimate.
