If you have a laptop and you would like to show some respect while someone is speaking, then this would help. ReMo stands for 'Respect Mode'
Instructions
Use to prop open computer just a little while not totally closing your laptop. It is handy and can be used everyday.

I think you should try this though. with windows 7 atleast. Go to start-control panel- system & security- power options- change what closing the lid does. change settings to do nothing.
when you close the lid fully the screen will shut off saving battery but when you open it back up it will be exactly where you left it.
Your widget keeps the screen on wasting battery the whole time.

You can actually overcome this sleep function by removing or blocking the small magnet and eddy switch that sense when the laptop is closed.
I could also use one of those cellphone Faraday weaves to stop the magnetism.
You can also abuse this feature by using a small magnet to put your laptop into sleep without closing it.
