I designed a simple business-card holder that nicely matches my business cards. Simply slide the cards out. It fits cards 55x85 mm.

Make sure you orient the print correctly: easiest is with the slit at the bottom, so you may have to flip the STL upside-down. Sorry for that.

I included the solidworks file so the text on the back or the dimensions can easily be changed.

The print in the pictures is printed on an ultimaker, 0.1mm layer height.

The bcard3.stl has no text on the back, the bcard_theboss.STL has "The Boss" on the back. For obvious reasons, I did not include the one that has my company name...

If you have a special request/ideas for text, I could upload a few variations, but only if the text is fairly generic so more people could use it. If you want your company name, you'll have to pay big time :-)

it seems to me that when ever I attempt to print it, by the time it gets to the seccond "S" it practicaly skips a layer.
im looking at it in meshmixer yes I am MEGA ULTRA BETA NOOB and it has this weird box where it keeps skipping across
Any suggestions?

Tried it with 3 shells.... seems to have solved the problem

I've got an odd shaped business card and need to make the holder a bit longer. Would you mind sending the raw file so I can edit?

This is a great design. I've been looking for a small, light business card holder that will protect my cards in a backpack and this works perfectly. The cards stay inside even when I shake the container, but slide out easily with my thumb when needed.

I scaled the longest dimension by 110% to fit US business cards, which tend to be 51mm x 89mm.

No rotation needed for Repetier on my system. Print with the card slot on top (Slic3r filled in the end slot when I tried to print with slot on bottom). To my surprise no supports were needed for the top of the thumb-hole. It printed just fine as-is in ABS. I did get some side buckling when it cooled because the sides came out quite thin, but this actually helps keep the cards in, and I prefer the light weight it gives.

Thanks for making the design available!
