Linked square chain by berserkerscientist Sep 27, 2012

Description

This 4 link chain will print as one piece. The links are about 10mm square, and 2mm thick. I was inspired when I saw this clutch (thing:31312). I'll probably chamfer all the corners, to make the links symmetrical.

Using the 45 degree angles to intersect like that is quite clever! Now all we have to do is figure out how to use that trick to make shapes connect in the other dimension, so that we can print a flexible surface!

Instructions

I used 10% infill and 0.2 mm layer height, but this can be changed. I always use 230F nozzle and 110F bed temperature. Using a slower feed rate is better.
