Description

This thing is to hold my temperature control unit for the UP! printer.
The UP! does not allow software control of the extrusion temperature, so I developed a board that can be connected between the extruder and the main board to allow control of the temperature.

Electronically, the 16-pin version should be compatible with the Up Mini.
The issue is that the cables must be routed out of the heated enclosure as the temperatures may exceed the maximum ratings of components on the board.

I posted the key details on how to manipulate the temperature on the pp3dp forums; however I'm afraid the board and firmware for this particular product are not open source.
I would love to know more about the board you made how can i build my own or where can i buy on. I run 5 afinia printers at a local maker space and i know they are basically up printers would like to be able to control the temperature of the nozzle and of the print bed

Instructions

Print with the LCD face on the platform.
I used the minimum support setting and 0.25mm layers on the UP! printer.
I also used the wind barrier to blow air across the build.

Where can I get the controller board for my Up Mini? Is it compatible with the mini?

I love this mod, it alone has opened all the other material choices for my Up Plus Pro, Nylon, Polycarbonate, PLA, Laywood, now I can print them all!
