Description

The case this thing is derived from (thing:25612) was not printing well for my .35 mm nozzle and slic3r (hollow, weak walls). I have made the walls 3 mm thick, added additional lip to the top of the case, and placed support legs under the lip for clean printing. and successfully fit to an iPhone 4.
This is working well for me, I hope it helps out my Open Source Hardware friends as well.

Instructions

I use Google Sketch-up to add designs to the back.
A Google Sketch-up STL export plugin exports the model to ... STL
Before Slicing, I use Netfabb Studio's program to repair the recently exported STL.

Slice .7-.95 infill.

Cleanup with a jeweler's file.

Can you try to design this for the IPhone 5 please? It would be much appreciated!! :)

I am getting Alibre soon, so I will do what I can. Thank you for the suggestion.

Printed on a reprap huxley layer height 20% infill. with a 0.5 mm nozzle. with that big a nozzle it does not print the support legs. But it worked anyway. I printed a lot of cases but this one is the first to fit.Thnx!!

You are welcome. Please let me know if you can think of any improvements.

Could we get a photo?

Do you have a photo of it?

Thank you, jetty and Claydiz, for your interest.

I have attached pictures of an ABS case, customized for a friend.
