This modification improves the accuracy of the z-axis homing used for K8200 / 3drag 3D printer.
Without this mod the homing of the x-axis was very inaccurate. Removing the lever on the micro switch reduces the inaccuracy caused by the switching tolerance of the micro switch.
No more issues with too high/low distance between needle and printing bed.
For the mod you need to print two parts:


Parts designed in Tinkercad.
Beside the printed parts you do not need any additional things.
Optional: Drill another hole to fix each part with two screws. This is optional and you do not need to do this.

it's very usefull and simpler and workig fine. well done: it solved my z stop troubles so good on my 3DRAG that is a k8200 clone (or K8200 is a 3DRAG clone: I don't know) THANKS

I added this improvement to my K8200 and damn, this is one REALLY strong z-axis endstop adjustment. With this change, there is no play at all in both the switch and the screw. I can really just advise every K8200 owner to print and install this.

Both items can be printed without support. You do not need to rotate the object. Just print the STL without support without rotation.
Depending on your printer setup it could be necessary to drill the hole from the long screw.

How do you print these? My first attempt printing the screw plate (with the large hole towards the bottom) ended up with support material filling the screw hole. What settings for support should be used with this, and what orientation on the plate?

this design is great and solves the Zaxis stop problem with mostly stock parts. I had to change the Zmotor support position to install it (1cm to the top).

An absolutely awesome upgrade. Just finished assembling my printer a couple of days ago and this was the first thing I enhanced. I truly recommend it for everyone that has a K8200. Thank you!!!

Where did you get the coupler? I have been trying to get one for months and it is always either 2 big, 2 small or perfect but the casing is 5x larger then it needs to be.

Ordered at eBay. Search for "Kupplung RepRap" (germany) or "Coupler RepRap" (english) and you will find some. You need 8mm (8mm thread) / 5mm (stepper).
