Got a can this evening, and finally nailed this print (thing:29858) that had been giving me grief for weeks. This stuff works wonders where my previous standby Dove Extra Hold had failed. Thanks!
I was going to ask if you also found that you had to change your Kapton Tape much more often now, since you've been using hair spray, but I see you've just got bare aluminum there! Did you used to use Kapton tape, and then stop? What's your preferred method of cleaning up dried hairspray?
I used to use Kapton tape and kept accidentally digging it up sometimes. I did hundreds of successful prints on kapton tape but it is so delicate I was constantly replacing it. I now just use Suave Extreme Hold 10 hair spray alone on the aluminum plate. I find that if I need to clean off the hair spray acetone works pretty well.
I'm using the quick change build platform so I can easily remove the platform clean it then take it outside respray it with hair spray then put it back in the bot.
Does this Hair spray work with PLA?
I'm not sure it will work with PLA because on my Heated Build Platform when it is cold it is not sticky at all. When I heat it up the hair spray gets sticky again.
It makes getting models off the platform super easy. Some of my models have popped off on their own once the platform was at room temperature.

Have you tested other sprays? Do you find the Sauve is the best hold?
I tested some "White Rain" I bought at the dollar store and it is not very good. I'm on the lookout for Aqua Net max hold but I've not been to a store that has it yet.
