BilbyCNC Printober 2012 Customisable name plate
Description
Custom name plate to print and fold for dual extrusion
Instructions
1, Open the scad file and type in your name, or add a design
2, Compile and export both stl files, (one for the frame, and one for the text - dual extrusion)
3, Print
4, Fold into shape
You can print just the frame using single extrusion, but the center of letters (like 'o') will not be attached.
I have provided Reprap and Bilby CNC stl examples ready for printing.
For a nice finish print onto something polished like glass.
It is easiest to fold the print while it is hot, but be careful not to burn yourself. Set the bed to a very high temperature, this will make the plastic more flexible. When the print is finished, immediately fold it before it has cooled. To cool it quickly, hold it under cold water.
