I tried scaling it down and the sidewall didn't build well, but I was using the default Replicator 2 extruder and filament. I haven't tried re-building it now that I've done the spring upgrade and bought better filament. I actually ended up making my own inkwell because it seemed like a nice way to try my hand at 3d sculpture. (thing 67888)

Thank you. If you want, if you haven't already, you could try it and report back. I have the original model on a blu-ray disc but which box I dunno and this current room there isn''t enough room to put the stuff I brought. I will be moving again before August to a much bigger place then I will have room again.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Since this is made to hold liquid use about 10%-25% infill to reinforce the walls.

This object is bigger than the Repilicator2's build plate at native resolution. Can it be scaled safely in MakerWare or will that make the walls too thin?

My wife suddenly passed away on Feb 7 and I had to move. So, long story short I don't know and all of my stuff is still in boxes. Try it and let me know but I do know all of my models are formed with at least one axis at a max of 200mm and most, if not all, of my walls are 5mm thick at that rez.

The resolution is a bit high.
38mb & 17mb is quite a lot for this.

Then don't print them or use something like Meshlabn and lower the resolution.  I make my models for quality printers like powder or Replicator 2 which both easily handles this.  Heck, Replicator 2 handled the Knot Thing which is 140 megs.  If yours can't handle those then please look else where as I don't do faceted models and I always make models for people to aspire to be able to print.  Others have done them so can you.

Happy Holidays.
