This is a portable laptop cart for schools, built to solve the problem of the standard Bretford carts not moving in and out of buildings, over bumps easily. It is both difficult to move them since they are so heavy and dangerous (we even had one tip over!).
The chassis for it is the All-Terrain Radio Flyer Wagon. It pulls pretty easily and carries 18 computers.
Acquire a Radio Flyer wagon. We built ours out of poplar and plexiglas. Use what works. Poplar is nice since it doesn't scratch the computers, and its pretty inexpensive.
This is a work in progress! We made a lot of the design decisions on the fly and so it has changed a bit from the original sketch up drawings. I plan to update the drawings soon.
I plan to install the power adapters in the bottom area of the cart so that we can charge the computers in it as well.
