This is based on Wizard23 and VeryWetPaint and I think improved. The python code is tidied up a bit and now uses the standard image library.
I also change the maze so that it is continuous around the mug, and to solve it you need to cross over.

To create a new mug, first edit the maze image to make it your own, then run the python program to generate the .scad file.

I have been looking at krita image editing program, this has a wrap-around mode made for editing a tile to be used in a tessellation. But it would be ideal for editing the maze to go on the side of this. When I originally did the wrapping part of the design it was complicated having to think where bits go off the edge and around to the other edge. I plan to have a go at designing another maze pattern that does a lot more wrapping around the mug to get to the solution.

Wizard23 Glad you like it, I loved the Live glider, but I did put my initials on it rather than your W23. I went though a few iterations to make the puzzle as hard as possible, watching how people solved it and looking for ways to make harder to find the right way. I need to upload my latest version.

I just discovered this! Cool idea to make the maze 360 degrees! I feel honored that you left my "W23" signature and the game of life glider in the bitmap ;)
