Hose Splitter Valve Wrench by 66tbirdJZ Nov 6, 2012

I made this little object because the splitter I use on my garden hose system gets to be very difficult to turn. I also need to make very fine flow adjustments to facilitate a water timer used in a system to water many items. I made it on a whim, and in about 30 seconds on Sketchup. In hidesight I should of added a lanard tie off loop. I made it big so old hands can have a pain free grip. I made mine bright yellow so it's easy to find.

I print mine at a .2 layer, 2 shells, 25% infill, on a replicator1 in ABS at hbp-110/extr-240, fully enclosed.

I use Sailfish and just did one a 110mm/s. On 5.5 firmware it was around 60mm/s.

I have had infll issues, or lack of infill near the keyhole and then I dropped the shell count. Repetier is a nice app to see what is going to happen layes by layer.

I've also had one break and a quick acetone glue job fixed it very well.

UPDATE: I've added another version that work on a different style splitter valve and the valve the orginal works on. This one I did at 20% infill and it's a strudy piece.

So I get it all printed up and test it. It works great, then I remembered I wanted a hole for a lanard string. I'll get it next updated wrench I guess.
