Description

This watch-band is designed to snap-together so you can print different colors and swap out links on the fly. This is still a work in progress, the clasp needs a lot of work, and the links need to be beefed up. Nonetheless, I have no trouble wearing it for about a month before having any issues!
Designed for the Fossil watch as pictured.

Instructions

Print at 50% fill, slowly enough to capture the detail of the snap mechanism (I print at 30mm/s). Use 1 shell at 230 C. Works well with ABS, PLA is more prone to breaking as you snap it together and apart.

To Snap together/apart, get two of the links at a 90 degree angle to each-other, and add a little torsion. You'll notice that the rectangular male 'peg' will match the female side with the notch.

made a bracelet, and a different clasp system using your shape as a starting point.

I want to make my thing a derivative of yours but the licence you chose doesn't allow derivatives.  If you change it I can then put my ipod adapter as a derivative of your thing.

I'm adapting my thing to use your design because it actually works... http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

Hopefully pics and stuff soon to follow.

First of all I really like your idea, but I have a problem with the clasp clip, its holes are too small to link it to a watch link, I would really like to make this work for my watch too (I edited it to fit 24mm width size).

Could you provide us with a more updated version of the clasp clip?

I've redesigned the clip check out my ipod adapter it has an improved clasp for this watch band.  I combined the makerbot watch clasp with the links from this watch band.  I've not had a chance to print it out yet but it should work better than what is already here.
