Modified the original carriage to be able to use IGUS RJMP-01-08 bearings instead of the noisy LM8UU ones.


Just print out and mount instead of the original carriage together with your IGUS RJMP-01-08.

How is the play with the RJMPs? I remember reading somewhere that they have a bit too much play. Have you noticed this, or do they seem pretty tight?

where can I hear the difference in noise levels?

all I found on youtube is an orca with these bearings,
but I don't feel that is fair for the IGUS bearings since the orca is extremely
loud under normal circumstances

 Sorry, i dont know. But i can tell you i dont hear mine, only a slight sliding apears...

The igus product page states that the RJMP-01-08 is identical in dimensions to the LM8UUs they replace.  What exactly did you change?

Yeah they state it, but in fact the IGUS RJMP have a 16mm diameter and 25mm length, LM8UUs have 15mm diameter
