Description
A Christmas tree made of Koch Snowflakes (iteration 3).
Instructions
To print out the tree, print the following files:
1to2Tree.stl.
3to7Tree.stl
treeTrunk.stl
My Cura settings are in the JPEG. I used 20% fill.
When you assemble the tree, be aware that the holes in each layer have the same taper as the trunk. So the layers fit much better one way up than the other. In fact, they should sort of click into place because of the matching tapers.
If you want to play about with the Koch Snowflakes, I have also uploaded the DXF and SCAD files. For instructions see the featured thing thingiverse.com/thing:35246

Very cool, plated all at the same time on a Replicator (Printed 1 of each.. Red,White,Green). Printed 10% infill, 2 shells (1 in Print-o-matic). I think 1 shell would've worked better as there's a little bit missing at the tip of each snowflake.
Great looking!
