Description

This is a human mandible (lower jaw bone). It was created from a CT scan available online that had a total of 460 slices. The program I generated the .stl in is called Slicer 3D, which is opensource. I printed it out on my dimension sst 1200es and it looks great. Once I get my camera working I will upload some real pictures.

Instructions

1. Remove patient's mandible and any fragments if it is shattered.
2. Surgically insert new mandible into patient.
3. Enjoy.

I've cleaned this part and included it in http://www.thingiverse.com/thi.... Sorry I couldn't list it as a derivative, but thingiverse doesn't currently give the option of deriving from two different things.

Knees!
Might I suggest uploading a replacement set of knees!!!
Right and Left facing please...

maybe not print 3d, but in future, CNC in titanium or a strong biocompatible substitute. perhaps even a carbon frame work on which to grow real bone for better integration..

Fantastic! I need a spare....

Great idea!!! print out our own skulls! haha ^^
