Description
hand-made 2D svg with inkscape, extruded in 3D with openscad, printed with a FoldaRap.
Instructions
The goal is to generate simple STL, by using only opensource tools.
The svg made with inkscape must respect some rules to be extruded in 3D with openscad. For more details, check:
repraprip.blogspot.de/2011/05/inkscape-to-openscad-dxf-tutorial.html
With Inkscape, save a copy of your drawing in DXF.
With Openscad, extrude your 2D DXF in 3D STL.
Have fun.
