Description

This was to fulfill a need I had to control my iPhone earbuds. You can see all the revision here: eagleapex.com/de/owl-wrap/
And after showing it around, I put it on Esty and have sold a few.
The "O RLY?" is from my redrawing of Helvetica Neue UltraLight as single-line objects for vector etching.

Note: this doesn't fit the new Shuffle or iPhone 3GS earbuds with the 3 button remote. I'm working on an update.

Instructions

Cut this real slow/hot if you can so that the edges are not sharp.
The red lines should be etched.

Awesome design. Made this for my gf. Thanks for the idea.

This is great. I made 2 of them by hand out of a piece of plastic i had around. it took a bit of time and a few failed attempts but the results are worth it. Can't wait for the iPod touch 3G version. :)

This is so awesome! I really need to make one soon; my old headphones broke because I used to just bundle them up and stick them in my pocket all the time.

860 downloads? What are you doing with it? Leave some pictures!

pretty sweet, i made two because the stock settings did not import into coraldraw right. if you cut with versalaser unser stock settings it comes out around 5 inches tall, i had to resize so the whole thing using the eyes as the main measuring point, took those down to about .45 ish to fit my skullcandys, then i opened up the 3.5 phono jack part to about 2.5inches, from there its came out pretty sweet, but i dont like the cord covering so much of the owl, i think im going to remake with the side protruding more so i can wrap the cord lower. :-D

Can anyone please give me the full dimensions of this? I would love to make one for my girlfriend and right now easiest way for me would be to autoCAD it and send thru a 3D printer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just download the EPS file. it's to size.

This lovely little owl works great!

Perfect! I'll just add a little so I can make it a keychain and it's done. Great work. :-D

seriously cool! i may have to switch back to earbuds just to use it. =)

My earbuds keep breaking, but they're under warranty each time! It's the button, nothing to do with wrapping.
