Key Chain Clip by MacGyver Dec 4, 2012

Description

I needed something to put my mailbox key on that could separate from the rest of my keys so I don't have to shut my car off while I check my mail.

Awesome, I'll give it a try, that loop looks a lot sturdier now.
I took your suggestions and made some changes see if "keychain_clip New Design v4.stl" works better. I also uploaded a .7 smaller version as well.
I made it with Tinkercad you can tweak it if you desire Edit it online tinkercad.com/things/edwKIy1tJ7t

The full size version has worked for me fairly well for past 9 months.

Print and enjoy. You shouldn't need any support at all.

I just uploaded keychain_clip New Design v4 which has a larger loop at the top.

Unlike the original this one is bi-directional. I've also updated the design even more to use less plastic and hopefully print without any overhangs. Download the "New design" files and scale to your liking.

I printed with 5% infill and 0 extra shells. Print with more infill if you want it stronger. It seems plenty strong for me at 5% infill.

I'm going to resize mine to .75 so it is smaller on my keychain. I've uploaded regular size and .75 sized too.

I've printed one at .50 scale and it works ok. If you print it that small print it with 0 shells so there aren't any fill problems.

This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://tinkercad.com/things/edwKIy1tJ7t

Thanks for this, a very handy print. I made one at 75% and it works fine, I use it on my keys now. One comment I would make is that, especially when printing at less than full size, the loop at the top is very weak. IMHO it should be made twice as thick and the top of the arch made twice the height. I've only been using it a couple of days, I'm afraid it is not going to last very long before that part breaks. Otherwise it works fine.

;) could you send me you address and when you tend to check you're mail? Oh and what your car looks like?
 now that's funny!
I knew that one was coming.  I may have to re-evaluate my choices.
