This made me lol, especially because someone I know bought an elf on the shelf for her kids and put it in their room.  But she had to get rid of it because it was creeping them out.  They kept expecting it to move closer to them if they looked away or show up next to them when they woke up like one of those creepy clown dolls in a scary story.

I'm going to have to make one of these and sneak it onto their mantle the next time I'm over at her house.
