I have carved in the NC machine a lens designed in original simulator.
The material is acrylic which is everywhere.
I finally completed if polished by hand.
- NC machine is Roland MODELA MDX-40 -
- This simulator made by Rhinoceros and grasshopper (plugin) -
Thanks.

This is the best acrylic lens image I've ever seen! In general, is a rigid, mechanical polisher required to form the lens for imagery? Or, are defects (i.e., variable density "nuggets") in the acrylic the culprit when hand polishing?
Awesome post.
..that is, hand polished acrylic lens (you can find them in most disposable cameras) ... but we want BIG lenses!
