Description

A holiday decoration using RGB self-changing LEDs.

Instructions

Use dxf file to laser cut parts in 5mm acrylic.

Assembly will require five M3X20mm screws for the star and two M3X16mm screws for the mounts.

I used 80grit sandpaper to create the frosted look for the top layer.

The LEDs are preprogrammed RGB fading color changers. NOT regular LEDs.

Cut perfboard into disc that will fit into center of star with about 2mm of clearance.
Align the LEDs with Anodes on one side and of the board and Cathodes on the other.
Solder the ends together to create a parallel circuit.

Power with 3V supply, normally you use a resistor in the circuit but I've found to be unnecessary.
