Summary

newer version here:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:529873

A tree topper angel with a Dr. Who twist
Note It does have a conical hole up the bottom
to accomodate a tree top branch.

I added a version without the conical hole
in case some want it as a 'solid'statue.

I am submiting this as an entry into ProtoParadigm's Winter Wonderland Contest

Instructions

My initial print was 0% infill 2 shells 80mm/sec.

I am not happy with my results. I will try again at 40 mm/sec 1 shell 0% infill

will update with results.

I got better results at 40 mm/sec

230 degrees extruder

25 degrees heated bed

PLA

1 shell

0% infill

I wanted the hollow look. infill might be a good idea,

the head top sags in slightly at the 0% infill

Thanks for posting the pic/image!

Thanks,
seemed like a good fit

Made it for a housewarming gift... Plan to just stick it somewhere it won't be noticed for a while..... <evil chuckle=""> Thank you very much for putting this together!</evil>

I have printed two so far and have been having great fun freaking out my older sister. So far she has blinded one and tossed the other out the window. It's head and part of a wing came off so I stuck it back on with the head twisted slightly so it is staring at her.

*EEEEEEEEEEEEEE*THUNK
I think she just found it staring at her in the kitchen...

does your sister fear it from the Dr Who weeping angels?

Yup, we're all fans.

 Like the kids say
"keep it awesome!"

This should come with a disclaimer...
"That which takes the form of an Angel, becomes an Angel"

Sweet. Thanks!

Hey Cerberus, did you see that Pacific Rim trailer yet? You seem like a giant monster movie kind of guy..

saw it after you mentioned it. looks pretty good.
I have been toying with making a gigantor model.
which is like the grand daddy of giant robots.

I did a gigantor because this jogged my memory.

Finally!  Thank you!

I had forgotten it was on my to-do list, and a tree topper
triggered my menory.

YES! I was hoping someone would make one of these.

So rad.

still to do, i want to make one of the really nasty ones.
as a tree topper i didn't think that would be ideal.
And this was a 'quickie'

Im going to make one tonight. I'll post the results tomorrow, this looks awesome.

thanks! I am way behind on the printing.
I need to move the printer into a warmer location!

Try Southern California! LOL
