Slim iPhone 5 Snap-On Case (tested)
by Helmi74
Description
My wife wanted a case for Christmas. At $0.50 of plastic, I figured, why not?
Instructions
This requires the use of dualstrusion. Under RepG, choose Merge STL for Dualstrusion (Ctrl-D shortcut) and specify the two files. Output to a separately named .gcode file.
The .tcw file is the TurboCAD file that I used to manipulate the original iphone5case6 designed by Helmi74 to create the knocked-out case and the part (tree) that goes into it.
The "corner pins" are there to help center the pieces. Unfortunately, TC exports STL with the origin set to the minimum coordinates of the object -- which makes it nearly impossible to align the offsets of nested objects without some guide piece. The pins are located at opposite corners of the overall design, so you can just "center on platform" and it'll work.
Enjoy!
