Heater knob, 0.25 inch slotted shaft by N1VG Dec 18, 2012

Description

My Lasko space heater had a broken knob, so I designed this to replace it. The original has a recessed space for your fingers, but I made this one raised to make it easier to fabricate.

I've been trying to do this with sketchup and it's pretty difficult for me. I measured the dimensions if your offer still stands. The top half circle peg width is 6.26mm and the height is 4mm.

It would be very easy to adjust the size if you have Alibre. I could do it if you know the size, but I'm stuck waiting on a new license key right now because I reloaded my computer.

eh... I printed it out and I guess my model is just slightly different. The slotted shaft is slightly bigger than yours. I'm going to see if I can mess with that file you included. Is it pretty easy to expand the size of the shaft?

This printed OK on my Solidoodle 2, but the overhangs drooped a bit - the new filament I'm using seems to melt at a lower temperature and I haven't quite got it dialed in, but it works well enough.

Also included is the Alibre part file.

Awesome! Thanks for working on this. I was about to design this myself but I'm glad someone smarter than I had already figured it out. The left knob on mine broke off too.
