Description

This is a printed version of a connector key for 5mm Euroblock terminals. Though it is a useful part, I thought it was worthy of sharing as a printer exercise because it's so simple and fast, but printing needs to be very good for it to work. A bad first layer or dimensional problem with its trapezoidal walls will cause it not to fit. I felt really victorious when my first one fit in the connector perfectly and stayed there!

Instructions

I used a .2mm layer height, .35mm nozzle and cooling. This is an example of something I couldn't have printed at all before eliminating my helical Z couplers. The first one I printed worked perfectly, but I actually had problems with a plate of them because the hot end lifting off toward the next part distorted a corner slightly. An interesting exercise in printer tuning!
