Remix from kossel mini
I posted “How to make a Kossel delta 3D printer with 800 RMBYuan” on Baidu Tieba, one of the largest Chinese online communities, on 03/26/2014 ( http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2944800373). In this post, I proposed a solution to build a Kossel 3D printer at a cost of 800 RMB Yuan (about US $130.00 ). The significant cost cutting is achieved by simplifying and optimizing the key parts in original Kossel design, without compromising the performance. The post attracted thousands of enthusiastic replies. After months of preparation, we decided to release low cost Kossel 3D printer kits named “Kossel800”with a detailed assembly guide. It is available for a price of 1000 Chinese Yuan (about US $160.00) on a Chinese online store.

Hi there, where is the best places to get the 2020 open beam from?

Any one have any suggestions on where to get the rollers (wheels) from for the 2020 beams?

Maybe you have a try a Chinese Online retail platform "Taobao". But I am not sure will it be convenint for shipping if you are not in China.

for the carbon fiber tubing, what is the OD and ID?

the ID should be 4mm, and the OD doesn't really matter much, 6mm tubings makes the push rods look better than 7mm or 8mm ones do :)

are you selling the injection molded parts i see in your pics?

He (or his distributors) will be selling injected parts out side of China in a long round, but not shortly. We might be selling in Mainland, China in several weeks, though. We just got some samples and they look great.

put me down for a set. I am currently in beijing....( i hope they dont cost a arm and a leg )

I have told him (maximscy) about you, so let's see what he'll say.

I think a set of injected parts would cost around 200 yuan. Well, but I'm just his friend, you gotta contact HIM for details. If they put it on taobao.com (if you are in Beijing you should know taobao), they'll probably make a notification somehow.

ekaggrat - in reply to jpan

well tell me when they are available.. also one more question do you have a taobao link to the magnet and spheres you have used in the kossel? and are u selling a entire kit?( again taobao link )

Link for a choice of source of magnets: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=17071633361
Like for a choice for the beads with threaded holes: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=40554348584

He is still shipping off orders from crowd-funding process, which number 300 maybe. So we have no taobao link for full kits yet. Here's the crowd-funding page: http://www.dreamore.com/projects/14147.html (it has ended already tho)

oh no i missed the crowd funding.. anyways thanks for all the links. it will help me upgrade my 3DR.

No problem. Remember magnets are not allowed to be brought on air planes or checked in at air ports. Just in case you are just staying in Beijing and going to fly back to your country someday and consider to bring some magnets with you:)

i finally ordered the countersink magnets from the source you gave but unfortunately they are very inconsistant . The counter sinks are not exactly in the center and the depth varies :( any update on sale of moulded parts?

Can you help with the set up of the extruder and the effector please? I think I have an idea but need to make sure to avoid mistakes as my printer is looking nice. So far I know that the (45) m4 12mm bolts, washer and nuts are for the frame and the (9) m6 30mm are for the carriage.

The BOM will be on here in a few days.

Sounds great +jpan; I look forward to seeing them. Today I got my stepper motors and flanged bearings and have them install.

Well I have the beam completed now to figure how everything else is put on the Kossel

This machine shares much of its design with Kossel mini, you might want to look at that first since we don't even have a Chinese assembly instruction now. :)

I have come upon a pdf that I have been looking over that use a different effector. It is some what helpful.

At least I'm sure the frames are assembled in the same way.

Well I have the beam completed now to figure how everything else is put on the Kossel

On the effector and carriage; what are countersunk size and are the magnetic or mildly magnetic?

I would say the countersunk are of 12mm diameter, and the beads on the ends of push rods (yet they are not magnetic, just metal. the countersunk are magnetic) are of 9mm diameter, and has a threaded hole.

I have some beads that I got from a friend, I will have to see about getting a threaded hole drilled into them. I will go to the local computer store and see if I can come across them countersunk magnets.

Maybe you'll find them on ebay. Just search "magnet countersunk" for the countersunks. We get our beads on a Chinese online store, coming out drilled and threaded, but I'm having quite a trouble locating the same thing on ebay.

the contersunk is like thie http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.9.10.IpD2vU&id=35354096714&_u=nl4b87224fhttp://item.taobao.com/item.ht... m4X25 ,the magnetic size is d=12mm h=4mm m4 magnetic

countersunk ??????????????

how well do the rollers work? i thought they have some inaccuracies as they are just meant for the shower curtains? do you have a taobao link?

I heard that it works all right on maximscay's machines.

of course, the shower curtains rollers have low price but inaccuracies, but rollers are good things also . :)

I see that you uploaded a U.stl file; where does this fix on the Kossel 800?

the aluminium U is for a fixed the hotend

So that part needs to be printed with aluminum filament; not PLA/ ABS...

we get ours from a Chinese online shop that made these mounts for us. But I guess printed one might work as well, of there has to be some substitute.

not to be printed ?the U parts needs to be process by the cnc or millingmachine?or you can use the other like
this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:154895http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... to fix the hotend

Kossel Groove Mount cut with CNC

For the Stepper Motor; is there a suggestion as I am looking now since I am having problems locating the aluminum extrusions?

I hope that I don't get kicked... For the Frame; what size is the aluminum extrusion size that goes through it? Is there away to post parts and pieces for this printer design?

Thanks for uploading the stopend stl file; I will reprint the uploaded on as I have 3 that I printed off from somewhere else but not sure if it is the right print size as I have no idea where it fix -- LOL. If anyone of you have the instructions (print, words or video) let me know where I can find it please. I am getting more excited the more parts I print off and have some of the instructors of my school looking forward to my final project.

I am now starting to create this model with the help of my schools printer. So you have the assembily plans to see how many pieces of each part needs to be printed?

k800 BOM will be update soon this week :) ,now you can print the frame X9 carriage(123)X3 endstopX3 otherX1

+maximscy, the k800hotend2.stp is not coming up; was that suppose to be a .stl?

hotend.stp is the format for UG solidworks ProE freecad catia?not for printing.

That would make sense since it is grayed out. As for the strews, what are they: M3 or M5 as I am trying to put my carriage together?

I don't see the endstop .stl file Maximscyl where is that one located?
So it is Frame 9x's, Carriage 1, 2, and 3 3x's each?

Thank +maximscy; I will begin the frames tomorrow and through the week if I am not working because the print time is 115mins per frame.

May be you can share a link on the store where this kit is available or you can sale it on eBay or aliexpress...
