Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress.
Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!
Simple dual AA battery holder
Description
This design is meant to hold two AA batteries firmly. It uses machine bolts as contacts and to hold the batteries in securely.
Instructions
It's not perfect, but it works. The batteries are a tight fit and probably the design should give them a little more wiggle room. Use machine screws (8-32 bolts are pictured) as contacts and to hold the batteries in place, but don't torque them too hard into the ends of the batteries since you might unintentionally really dent the battery casing!
The attached pictures show the two batteries in series, but of course if they were simply oriented the same as each other this holder would draw on them in parallel (if you needed only 1.5V and wanted the source to last longer).
We invite improvements on this design! It's definitely in draft form.
Any questions or comments, please let us know.
