Description
A aluminium reinforced Mendelmax Y Motor mount, this uses a 58mm long bit of of 40x40x3 Aluminium 90 Angle to add a bit of strength, also acts as a heat sink.
Instructions
Print with support.
Insert Aluminium and re-drill holes.
Drill or otherwise remove a hole for the Stepper Spindle
Trim excess Aluminium if desired or if your using the 'tail'.
This printed fine, but needed a lot of clean up due to support (PLA support sticks to well)
Scad code is provided, as is where is (Ie the code is crap, but works)
NB Aluminium is a very tight fit, a small amount of sanding of plastic is required.
