Summary

Found this model and saw that some people were requesting a V8 Engine Block. I found this one online and cut the bottom flat so it should print without support of any kind.

The front of this engine block is same as the rear. I guess whoever modeled it didn't know the back of an engine block is different.

Instructions

Just scale it and print it. You shouldn't need any support. I'm in the process of printing it myself and will post my results when I'm finished.

Also if anyone can tell me what exactly this engine block is from I would like to update the info about it.

was this modeled on inventor?

I have no clue who created it or what it was modeled in.

Have you printed this yet? If yes, any advise on print settings?

You should be able to see my print in the "Made" section. I printed it twice without support at .27mm layer height. Whoever designed this engine block made the front the same as the back.

Sorry, I haven't replied. I just found out how to check..

Yea I see the front and back are the same. But it's not a big deal. Going to try and scale it bigger then print. It be awhile before I can print it, got a list already..

Thanks for the post. I may try to look into 3D scanning as I have a lot of engine parts lying around I would love to model, specifically, the 350 chevy.. Or, I may try Googling to see if anybody else as..
