Description

Want to mount a big ol' fan to your Printrbot Jr? This is a thing that could do that for you. Not exactly sure that the airflow is all going where it needs to be, but it will make your Printrbot Jr look like a Mazda Miata with 4 ft spoiler. Do it.

Instructions

Print pieces out and bolt them together with an 80mm long bolt. Adjust to desired angle and tighten. Friction and the holes in the side that catch the nuts may be enough to hold it on to the hot end casing, but if not, try a little double sided tape.

For the new Printrbot owners, a pointer to Printrbottalk.com where you can get all sorts of good stuff.

I keep this thread http://www.printrbottalk.com/f... up to date with Printrbot Things.

Hay, when you make the smaller derivitive please make sure to post it. Also, makenai you are awsome. You have just officially posted the first fan mod for the Printrbot Jr. on all of thingivers! Also, I have always wondered why people always use 40mm. fans. you would think smaller ones would be used. you know?

well a 80mm seem to big for me. i use a 40mm and that is enough air flow IMO

could you maybe post the file so we maybe can change the dimensions to use a 40mm fan?

Sure thing! Original is on tinkercad. Maybe you can export to something better than STL? https://tinkercad.com/things/k...
