Granddad needed a new TV, but could not use the remote with its 45 tiny buttons. So I made this cover which clips on, with just the 3 big buttons he needs.
He's happy now, it works really well. A great first project for my new Replicator 2

This is for the Samsung non-internet tv, remote AA59-00602A. I also have the design for the bigger smart tv remote.

I would really like one of these made for a time warner cable remote would you be interested in making it?

Nice inclusive design.

Did you use abs in your rep2 ?

I used PLA, how long does it last? I'll use ABS when the heated platform comes out for the Rep2.
But PLA is no good with heat, I left it out in the hot Australian sun after taking photos, and it went soft and distorted. Cost me 50 cents to print another one!

Nice!! <- two, arthritic, thumbs up

Sadly, we & soon I (and you youngsters eventually...), will need more of this type of creativity...
I have been on the lookout for a 'senior' adapted cordless (not mobile/cell) phone for my mother, who still has a rotary dial phone at home.

Haha we provide useful designs all the time... It's not up to us if things actually get made its up to our bosses!

The TV remote was easy, because the whole function could be simplified to 3 buttons. Could you find a cordless phone and do the same? Maybe a lot of buttons and ways to go wrong.
It's sad to see old people lose the ability to use these complicated devices, and end up with boring and lonely lives. We need to work on it now before we need to!

Check out AARP. I saw a simple phone in there advertising.

An excellent improvement to help people with motor control or vision impairments. Great job!

Fantastic! This is my next gift to my father...
Priceless ;-)

This is amazing.

Now that's awesome!
