Summary

I printed a few domos based on racing4micro's Domo Keychain, and a friend of mine suggested it would make a perfectly sized beer bottle opener!

There are 2 versions: One with a 6mm dia keychain hole and one without. Happy printing!

Instructions

You can insert the coin into the socket while printing.

It's meant for a 18.50mm diameter, 1.4mm thick coin. I have included the original solidworks files if you need to edit!

It doesnt fit the 2 Euro cents coin :(

I tried both 1 and 2 euro cents, fits when you use a pair of needle-nose pliers. First remove extra extrution with a knife where the coin goes. You can put on end of the pliers between its leg and the coin and just squeeze it in. Its a tight fit but atleast it won't fall out :)

Awesome too ! I have printed one for a friend and he loved it. Now everybody wants one :)

Tip: if you should get your printer to "pause" during printing these and able to lay the dime into the cavity before it is bridged over, i would spray down the dime with hair spray, both sides would be good. The side that prints over or bridges want stick on my printer with pla plastic. Maybe better on abs, don't know, never used it. And the side that lays down flat of the dime, the hair spray may make it a bit more sticky and keep it in place and from shifting. I messed up a full plate of 4 of these, were going to give them as gifts for Christmas, well maybe next year, Merry Christmas, 2014 !

This is awesome! I am currently printing one for everyone at my party (on number 2 of 5). Some special notes: Place the coin in the socket while printing on the level that the teeth start being filled in. Also be sure you have good adhesion from layer to layer, otherwise it will crack while trying to open a bottle. You can fix this by hitting it with a heat gun for a little while to re-adhere the layers, making it so you don't have to throw it away.

thanks, I will try!
the one I printed yesterday now is broken...
