Build wearable DIY VR Goggles! This is great for anyone whos looking to make their own a personal display.
For camera operators and dps, this makes a better alternative to a hood over an HD monitor.
A 5' hdmi display, Arduino Micro and a 9-DOF motion sensor are housed inside a 3d printed enclosure.
The outer hood is printed in PLA and Ninjaflex, fusing two different materials making a rigid frame with a flexible hood.
A mounting bracket secures the components to a faceplate with machine screws, making this a solid construction.
Make this into a diy oculus rift by mounting a pair of aspheric lenses to the inner faceplate to split screen for stereoscopic video.

How much would it cost to make this?if i wanted them made?

I've been working on this build for a couple weeks now, and have reached a problem regarding the lenses. Currently, my main issue is that the lenses create a modest gap in my view near the center of the screen. Also, there is a stark difference between my L and R viewpoints. The Occulus Rift solves this issue by splitting the monitor into two separate feeds, and I am having difficulty finding nvidia or 3rd party software which allows my video card to accomplish this in real-time. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Adafruit 3d-printed Wearable Goggles (Remix)

I am fighting the multi-material. I am using Slic3r and pronterface. I edited the gcode with an M226 .. no pause .. then I simply entered the word "pause" into the gcode .. did not pause even though it pauses when you type that in the pronterface console.

How do I get the print to pause at 30mm without me babysitting it?

Would you describe the software and printer as well as the steps you took to make this? I notice the supports by the nose on the screen side. However there are a lot of sharp 90 degree angles. Are you using slicer supports in addition to the modeled supports? Also wouldn't making a gradual 45 degree angle out remove the need for any supports?
