I liked the herringbone thing but my stepper's so vast I had to mount my Wade's extruder reversed, leaving little room for the big gear. This one's smaller


Set the separation according to the gap between the centre of the stepper shaft and the hobbed bolt. 40 worked fine for me. 40.5 would make it a little tighter.

Best printed in PLA with 100% fill

I previously fixed using netfabb studio and it slaiced fine, but just checked out the scad and found an issue with the waist placement on the small gear - changed it and it loads directly into Slic3r without complaint now (herring2.scad). Hope it works for you too
