Just printed this - After looking at the comments, I removed the clip parts that bends up. Fit is perfect, and Zero issues! - Thanks for the great print!

This clip does not fit Z18's made after Dec 2014

Will this fit in the replicator mini? Thanks

What settings did you print at for this file?

Hey wheeler had to tweak design by 2 mm for length, and it fits perfectly now. Great idea, and I'll be using it often.

Hey I just printed this out and it seems a bit to short, Cpllaz you said you made it 2mm longer? Are you using the Z18?

Actually I got it working perfectly. All I did was remove the piece (on the shorter arm) that turned inward. Its just that small bit of plastic that needed to be removed and it still clips on perfectly. Now my printer has only 4 prints on it since I just got it 3 days ago. One print was the first example print of the table (no issues) Second print was of a crescent wrench (8 hours no issues) Third Print was of a Batman Bust (22 hours no issues) and Fourth was this print right now (1hour 22mins no issues) So I am wondering if this clip will hold the extruder to tight and cause issues because maybe before there was a little play.....or if it makes no difference and the clip will just make sure the extruder doesn't move and everything will be fine. Does anyone know if by using this clip it hinders any kind of play the extruder had in moving? Regardless, the design is awesome and I thank you for it, its really nice people are spending their own time to design items and give them away....I truly appreciate that and I will also upload any designs I make.

Just to let everyone know, I just tried my first print with the "CLIP" attached to the extruder and I got my very first "HOMING ERROR" Well the first thing I did was remove the clip and everything is perfect again. I have a feeling you need a little play in the extruder. Now yours may be working great and having absolutely no issues and that awesome; however mine works w/o it and I will continue without it. Good luck everyone.

Works better than the 1st version. Very tight fit but that's a good thing. I haven't had any issues since installing on my machine.

I have a homing error using this printer, will this idea resolve my problem? It says something with a connection.

It is a bit of a tight fit, but it does go on if you are careful. After installation, my extruder head does still have some 'connection' issues and I have to jiggle it around to get the printer to work properly. I might have to do this more often if I didn't have this part, but it is hard to say at this point. Overall, nice job on the clip.
