Instructions
Print (in red or paint it red).
Give as gift.
Feel the love.
EDIT: Print with zero infill, 1+ perimeters, and a few solid layers for the base. Either delete the last few layers of code or stop the print before it starts bridging the top, or cut off the solid layers after the print.
With Slic3r 9.4 you can choose how many top solid layers you want. You want 0.
I have also uploaded a shelled out (hollow opened topped) version of the vase with a 1mm wall thickness in case you prefer to programme that one instead.
Two Hi-Res stls also uploaded due to the quality of your prints being too good.

Thank you! Quite a beautiful model; it made my wife very happy. About 1.5hrs on a replicator 2, PLA, fine, 23g. Does not hold water. I am considering creating a derivation with thicker walls to do so. Making another one for myself in white to be a fabulous writing utensil holder.
Hi, you should be able to make the walls as thick as you want using the solid stl file, use no infill and as many perimeter shells as you care to lay down. Check out the love and kisses vase (thing 42951) to make your wife even happier ;-)
Glad you and your wife liked it.
Turned out quite well. It was printing as a solid, so I set the infill to 0% and 3 shells for a thick wall. Also, stop it before it does the top unless you want to seal the vase up since the stl file is a complete solid.

Why is everything in your pictures looking so perfect?
How can the prints be so smooth, also the tape on the platform is in perfect shape. How is this even possible? I hate you !
