The metal cube-wall hooks for hanging whiteboards can be very cheap and in some cases not even strong enough to hold up the larger whiteboards.
It is v2 because I had to reinforce and adjust the design after the first version slipped off the cube wall and sprang across the room.
So I made a sturdier hook which works pretty well for the whiteboards with a metal frame.
Print with 100% infill. I recommend ABS over PLA as it seems like the flexibilty of ABS lends itself better to being a spring. Also, I suspect that ABS will fail more gracefully if you put the hook past its limits.
If you have a smaller whiteboard or only want to hang a coat or something, you could scale it down (in the z direction) quite a bit.
