Description

The collection of the Motor- and Idler Pulley -Brackets is completed. This is the last piece of the puzzle. The goal of the X-Motor Bracket is to reduce the X-Wobble.

Update 22 Jan, 2013:
The X-MotorBracketV2 is 42x42x38mm (the first one is 44x44x38).

Update 23 Jan, 2013:
X-MotorBracketV3 has a second "cut out" in order to hide the motor wiring.

An alternative solution as fma proposed.

Hi fma,

Thank you for your feedback. I've uploaded a version as you proposed.
I think you can simplify your bracket a little bit: as there is a problem in the horizontal direction only, you can make 2 sides, on top and bottom. The same part can be use for both. Something like this:

The weakness with the original X-Motor mount are the nylon spacers (dia 6.5mm, 38mm long). You can't have the screws well tighten.

The X-Motor Bracket isn't obviously so strong as Alu, however it's more rigid and thereby you can reduce the X-wobble.

Instructions

Using the X-Motor Bracket V3 you can mount the motor with the wiring on the bottom and conduct the wiring thru the cut out to the top one.

No yet. I'm very busy, these days, and I was out of ABS filament! I think I will have to make your Rigid Y-Motor Bracket; this is the last I need. I don't see much twist on X axis...
