Open Sourced Radio Control Racing

Aimed at UK secondary schools and colleges, OpenRCR gives young people a chance to get to grips with real engineering design and personal manufacture by designing and 3D printing their own 1:12th Electric R/C Circuit Cars. It also aims to gradually ween schools off proprietary hardware & software and embrace the OpenSource revolution!

The competition culminates in a race meeting between schools that uses the official British Radio Car Association rules and digital lap timing systems.

If anyone reads this and is interested in getting involved, drop an email to [email protected]

- sadly no robots in control of robots!(Though some might argue that's one robot more than is needed!)

What does OpenRCR stand for? Robot Controlled Robots? Cause that would be awesome. :-)
