Description

To play Android games with the PS3 controller.

Instructions

Print without support, I have designed the support only in the part that really needs and is easily removable.

The universal version you need to stick your cell phone case in it. I recommend the gray double-sided tape from 3M. It will work even with the wireless version, this tape is extremely strong.

To use the controller with your android you need this app:

play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller

The Android logo is from: thingiverse.com/thing:10434

Have fun!

Awesomestuf bernabap! What software you used to create the dxf file? openscad is not recognizing it for me.

LibreCad. It is working fine for me with openscad 2013.01.
I just saved my scad file in the same folder as the dxf file and imported:

linear_extrude(height = 13.5) import("GameClip.dxf");

How did you get the PS3 controller geometry, was there a dummy you drew onto?

I'll have to use this in a future design!

I used a caliper to measure, my drawing is done in the dxf file.

I have to agree with cymon here. This idea has been around for a very long time. I even have something I bought (before I got my 3d printer) for my N900 (which was the very FIRST smart phone to pair a controller wirelessly). The design is pretty much a natural choice. The name - well thats up for debate.

Lol, you agree with cymon or with me?

The name I have chosen is just a response to a company trying to patent an idea from the DIY community.

I love the labeling. I would have skipped that if I had made this myself. Very good.

The idea of using something to stick you phone into your ps3 controller is not from GameKlip. I have seen this many times before the existence of them.

Just to list some:

My design is just the natural shape that someone would do it to be printable.
I bet that if I had not do it the wired version you would not say this. But it is just the wireless version extruded with some shapes cutted to reduce plastic usage.

I had never used CAD tools before and did this in some hours using LibreCad and Tinkercad.
