Summary

This is a very detailed tree stump pencil holder. I was inspired to create this because I needed a pencil holder and thought this would be intriguing to those passing by. I found the model on TurboSquid, then used OpenSCAD to make the hole, lastly netfabb Basic was used to cleanup the mesh. The model name was: Tree Stump (Realistic) by DIWANTARA. Link is below.
Enjoy!

how long did it take

Can you add the file to edit the design Id love to add something to this stump (for Christmas purposes)

I set flower in this stump :) thanks...

This would take 17 hours to make if someone used the Series 1 Type A Machine (w/o support).

Daniel, I want to make a corner literbox for Hedgehog cage.... thought it would be cool to have a tree base, would it be possible to get a parasolid or step?

Hi, Unfortunately I don't have the file in either of those formats. You can modify the .stl using OpenSCAD and many others. I know this files is a pain to work with for traditional CAD programs such as Solidworks and the like. Sorry.

What layer height did you use? How much filament was required? Very cool.

I printed the model in the pictures at .2mm layer height. Filament required will depend on your infill. I suggest using a low infill such as 10% with 3 perimeters, depending on your slicer profile around 200-275 grams of filament. Thanks for your interest.
