Description

I printed out a Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon pendant with white PLA on a HBP after someone gave me the idea to print one out. You can hot glue a safety pin to it or do what ever you want.

Instructions

1. Print it.
2. Clean it.
3. ???
4. Awareness!

Nice one! reminds me a bit on http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... :-)

i used pink nail-polish to paint it - works great on ABS

Great! I'll give the pink nail polish a try! Thanks :D

This is a good idea. I was looking for a ribbon model this morning because my wife hosted a breast cancer fund raising "girls night in" (although they did high-tea in the afternoon), and it would have been nice to show off the printer printing something topical. You were only a couple of hours too late. Doh!

This model is a bit 2 dimensional though. Given that we have 3d printers, it would be nice to model the loop at the top with a bit more 3d. Can anyone knock something like that up? I only know OpenSCAD and I don't think it would be that easy using that program. Perhaps it is easier with other mode
ling software.

Yeah, this was drawn at 12:00 last night so I didnt put too much time into it. I need to get out my 3D Studio Max and make it better. I tried making an actual flowing ribbon in Sketchup but, it has its limits. This wouldn't be too hard at all with a 'better' 3D program. Just a simple twist. I'll see what i can do. :-)
