Thing7
Description
More than anything else I've printed, this one was really mesmerizing to watch print.
When printing, try to eliminate oozing and strings through software as much as possible. Be careful when cleaning up any remaining strings. The second set of petals is especially fragile.
Dimensions:
Thing7: 87.5mm x 87.5mm x 63.5mm tall

Yes please post your skeinforge settings - you're getting amazing resolution from delicate prints. Thanks!
Thanks! I'll post the skeinforge setting files when I get home, but for now I'll just post this note.
This was printed on a RapMan 3.0 using Ultimachine PLA and 4.x firmware. I basically took the default BfB Axon settings and tweaked them to 0.3mm layers and 32mm/s feed rate. One difference I've noticed between Axon and Skeinforge defaults is that Axon uses 2.0 extrusion width over thickness, fo
r both perimeter and infill. I kept the default Axon settings for the extruder reversing stuff, which does a good job getting rid of the strings.
If you look at the original size images, you can see that the edges are actually pretty rough. There is still a little bit of a blob where the extruder
stops. I replaced the Z axis leadscrews but I am still getting some annoying wobble between the layers.
Usually when I want nicer prints I'll drop down to 0.25mm layers and 16mm/s feed rate. At some point I want to try printing the smaller version of this like that.
Another trick is to print in
translucent material, I've noticed it hides imperfections much better than white ;).
Could you post your skeinforge .csv file? I'd love to try your setup.

As requested, I've posted a .rar containing all of my Skeinforge .csv files at the bottom. I am using Axon from Bitsfrombytes, so I think that's where the bfb.csv comes from.
