Hey cerberus333,
So the scanner is a NextEngine 3D scanner. It's a small desktop scanner, but it is an incredibly powerful unit. I just had to learn how to use it. I've had it for almost 2 years, and i'm just now getting the time to learn how to use it properly. Just been too busy.
The software comes with the unit, but in order to make a very good solid object (beyond an STL) you need their additional software called CAD Tools, which is a bit more in cost.
