Summary

Just testing my 3D scan to solid skills. Just another dragon figurine. Still got work to do on this type of thing. I'm getting better though.

Hey cerberus333,

So the scanner is a NextEngine 3D scanner. It's a small desktop scanner, but it is an incredibly powerful unit. I just had to learn how to use it. I've had it for almost 2 years, and i'm just now getting the time to learn how to use it properly. Just been too busy.

The software comes with the unit, but in order to make a very good solid object (beyond an STL) you need their additional software called CAD Tools, which is a bit more in cost.

Hope that answers your question.

which scanning hardware/software and follow up software are you using?
how large are the originals?
